pypowsybl.network.Network.update_voltage_source_converters

Network.update_voltage_source_converters(df=None, **kwargs)[source]

Update voltage source converters with data provided as a DataFrame or as named arguments.

Parameters:
  • df (DataFrame | None) – the data to be updated, as a dataframe.

  • kwargs (ArrayLike) – the data to be updated, as named arguments. Arguments can be single values or any type of sequence. In the case of sequences, all arguments must have the same length.

Return type:

None

Notes

Attributes that can be updated are:

  • bus_breaker_bus1_id

  • bus_breaker_bus2_id

  • connected1

  • connected2

  • dc_connected1

  • dc_connected2

  • pcc_terminal_id

  • voltage_regulator_on

  • control_mode

  • target_v_dc

  • target_v_ac

  • target_p

  • target_q

  • min_p

  • max_p

  • idle_loss

  • switching_loss

  • resistive_loss

  • p_ac

  • q_ac

  • p_dc1

  • p_dc2

  • fictitious

Note

target_p, min_p and max_p follow the load sign convention at the point of common coupling (PCC): a positive value means active power absorbed by the converter from the AC grid.

Warning

A finite min_p / max_p (any value other than -inf / inf) is not yet supported by IIDM serialization: saving a network that contains one raises a PowsyblException.

Examples

Some examples using keyword arguments:

network.update_voltage_source_converters(id='CONV-1', p=40)
network.update_voltage_source_converters(id=['CONV-1', 'CONV-2'], target_p=[40, 40])
